Description
SINISTER CREED was formed in September of 1987. Our original line-up was Mark Marsh on bass and vocals, Eddie Lawrence on guitar, and Dave Adamson on drums. It was the late '80's and thrash/speed metal was king. We set out to play the hardest, heaviest metal we could. For the next several years we practiced a lot, drank a lot, smoked a lot and played shows all over Colorado Springs and Denver. During those early years we were lucky enough to open for bands like CORONER and JAG PANZER and we recorded a few demos but only released them to friends. We were never quite happy with any of the productions. We took an unexpected extended hiatus for most of '96 and '97. During this time Dave and Eddie worked on a brief project band called 'Legantia.' In 1998 Mark left the band and Eddie and Dave were left with the task of rebuilding Sinister Creed. Guitarist Jeff Hladek joined the band and gave it a bigger, fuller guitar sound and Jerimie Roberts stepped in on bass. With the band sounding better than ever we went into the studio and recorded our first full-length CD 'Divine Lies.' It was met with great reviews by both the media and fans alike. We played many shows in support of Divine Lies, including opening up for DEICIDE, MORBID ANGEL, and KRISIUN. Jerimie left the band in 2002 and was replaced by Rick Lawrence. In 2006 we began working on what would become 'The Book of Noctubane' an epic that Eddie had written years earlier. After a year and a half of writing and rehearsing we went into the studio to record. The end result is our upcoming CD 'The Book of Noctubane' due early 2009. As of 2009 Rick stepped down as bassist but still remains as always a brother of Sinister Creed. Thanks for being a part of our legacy! Joining us on bass now is our longtime friend Jeff 'Sinister Effe' Montoya (Smaug,Catheter,Midwynter). And so the journey continues.. ..

This album is a tour-de-force of beauty and brutality. When listening to this album for the first time I was taken back my the level of complexity and thought that derives the songs of the Book of Noctubane, a story that could easily scare the faint of heart and plays deeply on the mythos of ancient time and deep evil. Truth and Faith, compiled with Spite and Malice, begets unfettered malevolence. I recommend this album to anyone that has the stomach to visit the deep dark places, and still can see the beauty around them. Do not miss out on such a wonderful creative piece of work. They obviously poured their blackened souls and enlightened hearts into this album.
