This is a great professional-quality design tool -- I just wish this line of products wasn't so expensive. I use Adobe Illustrator CS4, and I could easily open and manipulate the files. The colors in the file are already set up as spot colors, so changing the color palette is extremely easy. The packaging is mostly in Japanese, but that makes no difference in finding and using the files.
